When Menard Group USA was planning their next conference season, they were looking for a unique way to leave behind information about their company without using the traditional large-format brochure. Not only were they cumbersome for the sales team to transport, but people often shy away from taking printed material at conferences. The chances of a brochure making its way from a conference bag to a suitcase are slim!
Menard worked closely with Tara Hoover Design to design a pocket guide that utilized individual panels secured by a grommet, allowing them to "fan" out from under each other. With nine panels in all, the guide was designed to display tabs when closed, so clients could easily see which subject each panel addressed. One side featured technical information while the back displayed a corresponding project photo. We started with a guide that focused on the company's services, but they were so popular at conferences that we quickly added another that talked specifically to the industries in which Menard worked. A custom pocket folder was also designed so the sales team could send out packets to prospective clients. The folder was die cut to hold both guides along with room for cut sheets, white papers, and a business card.
When folded, both pieces are small and compact yet jam-packed with valuable information—making them perfect to use at conferences and seminars.
